“The Prime Minister is always pleased to hear from young people and I was interested to read about your website. I also note your request of  a photo of the Prime Minister with his favourite cuddly toy.

“I hope you can understand that, due to the many calls on his time, it is not always possible for the Prime Minister to fulfil all the requests that come his way. I am afraid that, on this occasion, he is not able to send you a photo as you have asked.

“He has, however, asked me to pass on his best wishes to you for your website. I am also pleased to enclose an official photograph of the Prime Minister.”

 

“Thank you for writing to me, and very sorry to take a while to reply. It has been the busiest time in politics that any of us have ever known so I hope you forgive me. I showed your website to my children and they loved it! Unfortunately, I have no pictures of myself with a favourite toy – it was quite a long time ago I’m afraid!”

 

“Lovely to hear from you, and so delighted you like my songs, especially ‘Serial Cereal Eater’. I’ve hunted high and low for a photo of me with a cuddly toy but I can’t find one anywhere. Instead, I have attached one of me with a chicken on my shoulder. Don’t worry, it’s not alive, but it’s not very cuddly either, so it might be no good for your website. I do hope it is, but if not it will come in handy when you start a page for celebrities with chickens on their shoulders!
